Winshield Wiper Arm
Vehicle windshields are designed to be
clear and wide, providing you with a maximum view of the road you are
tracking or driving at. But this is not often the case during the rainy
season. More often than not, the windshield of your vehicle gets wet
and blurry because of the pouring rain that would heavily flow through
it. Good thing is that vehicles are equipped with windshield wipers
that can easily clear the vehicles windshield from obstructive flowing
water.
The windshield wipers are the squeegees attached in front of the
vehicle’s windshield. Its main function is to clear the vehicle’s
windshield from rainwater and other obstacles, clearing your view of
the road ahead. Among the visible parts of a windshield wiper is the
windshield wiper arm and windshield wiper blade. Concealed beneath the
hood are other windshield wiper parts like the windshield wiper motors,
a system of gears and various arms and linkages.
Considered the most important parts of the windshield wiper
system are the windshield wiper motor and the windshield wiper blades.
Often times, we forget to give careful attention to the windshield
wiper arm. Although they may seem less important than the two
previously mentioned, the windshield wiper arms also play an important
role in the overall function of the windshield wiper system. Without
the windshield wiper arm, there would be nothing that would connect the
motor to the wiper blades, making the system totally dysfunctional.
Also, the windshield wiper arms push the blades to the windshield,
increasing their efficiency of keeping the glass clean.
Although not the most important part of your vehicle’s windshield wiper
system, the windshield wiper arm also does a great job in cleaning the
windshield of your vehicle. Therefore, you must also give it the same
amount of care and attention as you would give the other parts of your
vehicle’s windshield wiper system. If already worn and dysfunctional,
you better replace them with new and high quality ones.
