On what condition would your car be the safest?
For some vehicle brands, that would only happen if you park your car on
your garage until it gets rotten. Not for Volvo, though. Ever since the
1950s, Volvo has established for itself a reputation for safety. Up
until today, Volvo vehicles are still being equipped with a lot of
standard safety features that will make every driver and passenger feel
completely safe. And you don't have to park your auto all day just for
you to feel safe. In fact, Volvo allows you to start running your
vehicle immediately with their high quality Volvo starters.
The starter, or starter motor, is a small electric motor that induces
the engine to start running by spinning the engine's crankshaft a few
revolutions. The starter motor is powered by the vehicle's battery but
only after the starter solenoid, which is physically attached to the
motor, gets activated. The starter solenoid, on the other hand, is
activated by turning the ignition key to its 'start' position.
The function of the starter and the starter solenoid may be too little
compared to the other mechanical parts of the vehicle, but the
electricity required and power generated by it is exactly the opposite.
Starting a cold engine requires the starter motor to output a large
amount of power, specifically to enable it to overcome various forces
including all the friction caused by the piston rings, the compression
pressure of the cylinders, the energy needed to close and open the
valves, and the energy required to start the various other components
connected to the engine. For such an enormous power, an equal amount of
electricity is needed. This means that the starter solenoid should be
able to withstand the large amount of current that will flow through it
towards the starter motor.
There's no other way to experience the safeness of a Volvo vehicle than
to drive it on the streets. And for it to begin running, you would
definitely need the service of the Volvo starter. Your Volvo is
equipped with a starter that is designed to last long. But if ever your
Volvo starter gets damaged and you find the need to replace it with a
new one, make sure that you replace it only with a high quality
aftermarket Volvo starter unit.
