Living by the etymological definition of Volvo which is “I roll”, the Volvo brand really came out strong in the automotive industry scene by year 1927. To date, Volvo Cars keep on rolling down the road because of the affirmative reputation it received from a large number of car fanatics. Volvo Cars is a luxury automobile maker with vehicle products known for quality, character, performance, style and safety features! Since 1950s, Volvo Cars keep on innovating features that would help in the avoidance of car accidents or minimization of harmful effects of accidents, particularly those pertaining to human life and health by building special safety features into the their cars.
Volvo used laminated glass, “safety body”, now called a unibody, “safety cage” and “crumple zone” concept, three-point seatbelt, padded dashboard, rear-facing child seat and booster seat, Side Impact Protection System (SIPS), Whiplash Protection System (WHIPS), BLIS system, side-marker lights, and daytime running lights as some of its notable safety features. Aside from these features, the use of bumpers contributes also to Volvo’s edge over other stiff competitors when it comes to innovating safety technology.
The whole bumper system is made up of several components to which are bumper cover, bumper crushable energy absorbers, bumper piston and mechanical energy absorbers, bumper bracket and the bumper reinforcement or bumper bars. Bumper reinforcements or bars can also be called as simply reinforcement.
Reinforcements such as the Volvo reinforcements are located just behind the crushable energy absorbers. While there are bumpers not equipped with bumper covers, the reinforcements are placed instead, before the mechanical energy absorbers and some have reinforcement bar a the middle of the bumper cover and the bumper brackets. Several vehicles have bumper reinforcement and bracket, while others have composite bumpers molded with the reinforcement. The capacity of the whole bumper system to efficiently protect and reduce impact during collisions depends on the quality of its components. To ensure reliability, use Volvo bumper cover, Volvo bumper bracket, Volvo bumper crushable, piston and mechanical energy absorbers, and Volvo reinforcement!
