When the first Volkswagen Beetle was released into the industry, many have been
wondering if these small cars will ever survive in the world of automobiles where
enthusiasts and consumers’ taste have been used to cars and vehicles built with
body far from being that of small Volkswagen Beetle. People seemed indecisive
how they would accept it after VW Beetle cars have sprung out of the factory which
later on would change the course of automotive history. Their apprehension seemed
to root out from the influence made when one of the major automobile manufacturers
declined VW Beetle concept and discarded the idea. For him, the notion that this
type of car possesses great potentials to be a hit in the market seemed implausible.
“Too ugly to sell”, this was the first impression injected into people’s mind.
Little did they know that Volkswagen Beetle models would come across the path
of becoming a phenomenon in the course of automotive world. The humble “people’s
car” suddenly made history when year after year since the beginning of dominating
the automotive scenes of small cars; Volkswagen Beetle acquired a strong following
from the enthusiasts. Even after more than 50 years of existence in the industry,
these cars seemed to leave a legacy to every generation. Even contemporary Volkswagen
Beetle seemed to take the special route where the original VW Beetle has taken.
One of the most famous Volkswagen Beetle model is the Volkswagen Super Beetles.
Synonymous to its name, Volkswagen Super Beetles is considered the “biggest” in
the Volkswagen Beetles community chiefly because these were installed with the
biggest engine. Similarly, Volkswagen Super Beetle cars were seen with an incredible
increase in boot space that was not featured in other standard VW Beetles. Though,
VW Super Beetles lived shortly after its introduction in 1971, these cars were
well updated with features and specifications that otherwise were not seen in
other VW Beetle.
