Aside from noticing its driving performance, buyers are enticed by the designs of the car. The design of the shell or the body of the car attracts the buyers. All car bodies are produced by fusing together prefabricated panels. These include the doors, hood, trunk, fenders and roof for example. The roof is attached to the rest of the body by wide strips of metal or posts called pillars. These pillars support the roof and the windows of the car. The windshield and the rear window are also attached to these pillars by their side.
Regular Volkswagen sedans, vans and such usually have three pairs of Volkswagen side pillars from the front to the back. The A-pillars can be found where the windshield is attached and is located on the front attached to the roof and the hood B-pillars are in the middle where the two doors met on each side. The C-pillars is located at the rear and holds the rear window. Sometimes on larger vehicles, another pillar is added calling I the D-pillars. It is important that in manufacturing Volkswagen cars, the Volkswagen side pillar is absolutely strong and durable to withstand pressures from all sides.
