Every Volkswagen, whether they are still in the production line or in have already
rested and became one of the Volkswagen’s history model, possesses all the necessary
qualities of a good vehicle. With the rich legacy behind the company, Volkswagen
vehicles are made to surpass the performance and durability of original German
‘family car’ that was once the best selling model in the world. So with every
car, the Volkswagen made, from the original Beetle to the Polo, Bora Cabrio, Corrado,
Fox, Golf, Jetta, Passat, Tauran, Taureg, Sharan, Phaeton, Quantum, Scirocco,
r32, Vento, Caravelle, and the revived Beettle, Volkswagen has put virtually all
the elements of a good car. One of these is safety.
Every Volkswagen is equipped with a variety of passive and active safety features
to protect the passengers on board. But what is more notable with every Volkswagen
is its body that is styled and contoured with a purpose.
Volkswagen body is composed several part such as the header panel, nose panel,
doors bumpers, and quarter panel. Each performs specific task in terms of safety
while giving the vehicle its definition. Concentrating on a particular part, the
quarter panel is composed of the body skin or sheet metal that is part of the
whole body panel. It is located both at the front and on the rear of the car.
The front quarter panel runs from the front corner of the hood to the front of
the door while the rear quarter panel runs from the rearmost part of the rear
door edge, around the back and to the rear door on the other side of the car.
Several Volkswagen vehicles have the rear quarter panel that runs through its
roof. The Volvo quarter panel performs well in terms of safety for it is one of
the key components of Volvo vehicles.
