Toyota t100
The automotive industry today offers many vehicles in different models and platforms;
but most car buyers and enthusiasts don’t merely look for designs and comforts,
they are looking for vehicles with the perfect combination of elegance and power
performance. Mostly, enthusiasts are looking for vehicles that will not just take
them to their everyday destination but will make them feel somehow complete. And
Toyota is among those auto manufacturer that are doing every way they can with
the help of their company’s innovative technology and unique craftsmanship of
their people. Toyota has produced thousands of vehicles that the market had loved,
one of them the Toyota t100 model.
The Toyota t100 was introduced in the market by Toyota in 1993 as a full-size
pickup truck; competing with Ford’s F-150, Dodge’s Ram and Chevy’s Silverado and
was then available as regular cab only. In 1995, an Xtra Cab model of t100 was
introduced. A 3.4 Liter V6 engine was available along with the old 3.0 Liter V6
engine; there are 3 trims available during the 1995 model year; the base model,
the Dx and the SR5 which was the top range model trim. The t100, as it was from
Toyota was also a vehicle that offered good features and great performance. Packed
with optimum equipments for comforts, luxury and safety, the Toyota t100 was all
a better vehicle.
However, many car buyers wanted a V8 for the t100 but sold fair numbers of units;
sales was also not that good as there are import tariff problems since the t100
was made in Japan. The Toyota t100 was even considered sometimes as too small
despite the fact that it is bigger than other Toyota truck models; its towing
capacity was 5200 lbs. Toyota decided to discontinue the Toyota t100 in 1998 and
was replaced by the Toyota Tundra.
