Toyota Echo
For several decades of its operation in the automobile world, Toyota has been
too careful not to disappoint the consumers. As it is, Americans love cars. They
value them. They need them. They treat cars as their precious treasures. They
are something to keep and care for. And also because of these matters, they expect
a lot from their cars, especially from renowned manufacturers.
Toyota Motor Company instills the latest breakthroughs in line with Japanese
technology. Needless to say, when one hears of Japanese technology, what initially
comes into the mind is all about its greatness, advancement, and advantages. However,
Toyota may have not expected such reaction from the Americans when the company
brought out of their gates the Toyota Echo.
When the Toyota Echo first came naked into the eye of the public, most American
auto aficionados raised their brows, elderly car lovers looked the other way,
and anxious mothers got bothered. For one, the Toyota Echo was one of the oddest-looking
small sedans to hit the shores of the American automobile market. But through
the much improved efforts of the concerned individuals, the Toyota Echo became
an accepted face after a few short years.
The popularly known Toyota reliability backed up the existence of Toyota Echo
in the industry. It may be too small as it seemed, but the vehicle was able to
deliver a surprising comfort and outstanding economy. It needed not to be spelled
out that Toyota Echo had been a rare flop in the United States. But surprisingly,
it was well accepted and roaring in sales records in Canada where smaller cars
were much popular than they were in the United States. Because of the great demand
from the Canadians, Toyota introduced the 3– and 5- door hatchback models as the
2004 model year. The new lineup was sold as the Echo Hatchback which almost bore
resemblance with that of the European Yaris.
To add more to the surprise, the Toyota Echo garnered the prestigious European
Car of the Year award. So it was not too bad after all. As it showed, Toyota Echo
had its own redeeming qualities. Moreover, as a Toyota craft, the best always
came packaged with it.
