The concept of compact cars fills the segment with which active driving finds place. Suzuki is a brand that has long been concentrating only with creating fully equipped compact 4X4s. After several years of experience in auto machining, Suzuki decided to also cast its expertise in building several more segments, including hatchbacks and sedans. With this evolution, Suzuki Verona went out the market.
Verona is a Suzuki that lies upon the body of midsize sedan. Introduced only in 2004, this vehicle was a badge version of the Daewoo Magnum. Presently, it is the largest car being produced by the company, and the platform purposely designed to cross against the roads that Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are running through. Suzuki Verona basically possesses the capabilities that would help it endure the tough job of facing the two popular vehicles, aside from the fact of its being low priced. But the vehicle fell short of heritage and far off the name that its rivals have.
Suzuki Verona comes in three trims, the base S model, midlevel LX and the up-level EX. All these trims are equipped with a single engine type, the dual overhead cam 24-valve in-line 6-cyliner. The Verona got a front wheel drive system that, and powers at 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm with its 4-speed automatic transmission. The standard features available with the Suzuki Verona include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, remote keyless entry, leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter, tilt steering wheel, heated power mirrors, six-way adjustable driver seat, floor mats, and in-dash CD/cassette player.
It is true that Suzuki Verona falls only between the average entry levels. The configurations don’t showcase distinct innovativeness nor stage very impressive sophistication. Its dimensions fit in the average size for the class. What are noticeable about its construction are the sleek exterior styling, desirable interior design, and long list of standard features, plus ample space offered. And these attributes are the ones that brought Suzuki Verona in the top 5 of the segment, a great achievement for a low priced car.
