Subaru Outback
If you think the Honda CR-V and the Toyota Rav-4 are enough reasons to buy an
SUV, think again. With the restyled image, crisp style and sharp definition, the
Subaru Outback could give you a second though on buying an SUV. Considered as
the "The World's First Sport Utility Wagon," the Outback brought a new definition
to the phrase “sports utility.” First introduced in the United States in 1996
at the height of the SUV craze, the Subaru Outback tries to make a market of its
own and shift the preference of drivers from SUVs to SUW.
The Outback comes with two body styles in a wide range of trims. The wagon comes
with five trims: Outback Sport, Outback 2.5i, Outback 2.5 XT, and Outback 3.0
R which is available in 3.0 R L.L.Bean Edition Wagon and 3.0 R VDC Ltd. Wagon.
Outback 3.0 R Sedan is also available. The Outback Sport is powered by a 2.5-liter
boxer engine rated at 165-hp with166 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm in a symmetrical
All-Wheel Drive. The Outback 2.5i is has more power with 2.5-liter boxer engine
at 168-hp with the same 166 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm and the a symmetrical
All-Wheel Drive as the Sport. The 250-hp 2.5-liter turbo engine, 250 lb-ft of
torque at 3,600 rpm powers the Outback 2.5 XT while the 250-hp 3.0-liter boxer
engine 219 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm is housed by the and Outback 3.0 R wagon
and sedan.
The power of the engine is complimented by the interior features making every
Outback ride as comfortable as possible. Though features depend on the trims,
the overall interior image is simply handsome.
