Side Marker Lights
The lighting equipment is a standard car part that vehicle
regulations require for every car make. The number, visibility, color,
size type, construction and location are governed with regulations to
ensure road safety. A side marker light is one type of lighting
equipment to provide better visibility. It comes in different sizes and
color lens which depends on the brand or type of car. Bronco car makes
are known for their stylish rectangular ad trapezoidal shaped side
marker lights.
Some side market lights flashes together with the
turn signals. Modifications can be done to achieve such feature and the
good thing is, even you can do it! Instead of going to a professional
car mechanic, the owner himself can convert side market lights to turn
signals. The only things needed are wire, electrical tape, splicers and
wire cutters. The first thing to be done is to remove the head screws
from the side marker light to get the light equipment. The black wire
attached to the lamp must be cut to about 1 ½ inches.
Then pull
out the front turn signal or the parking lamp assembly. Three wires are
attached on the lamps. The color of which may differ for each car make.
The procedures for installation also differ that is why the steps to be
taken may not be the same for all car types. When installed on the
vehicle, the side marker lights will then blink as the turn signal is
turned on while it can blink successively with the parking lights. For
some makes connecting the green wire from the back area of the front
turn signal bulbs to the front side markers can do which can be easily
done in the compartment of the engine. Others however require sweaty
stuff. Well, it all depends on the features of the car's lighting
system.
