For some time now, the surfacing of automobile brands, manufacturers, groups and companies have gown very fast. Since 1760s, several hundreds of automobile brands and manufacturers have tried to earn a place in the highly competitive arena of automotive world. The growth of these automobile brands and companies however, was somehow regulated by the high competition standard in the automotive industry or the more popular survival of the fittest, elimination of the unfit. Unfortunate for some totally extinct brands, and there brands which are non-existent as separate companies while others are already owned by larger companies.
The Scion is just one of the brands who want to stay and find a niche in the business. Founded in 2003, the Scion brand is a United States-only division of the Toyota Motor Corporation and a brand under the Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. Currently, Scion has only three models to which are the xA, xB and tC with the first two models being a rebadged Japanese market cars named Ist and bB in that order, while the last one being a new design based on the European-market Toyota Avenis.
The Scion tC is a front engine, front-wheel drive sports compact automobile introduced by Toyota in 2004 as a concept vehicle under Toyota’s Scion brand name. Just like the Scion xA and xB, the Scion tC was also designed to appeal to the “generation y” market and lure them into patronizing Toyota products. One strategy that the company thought of to make it possible is to make the standard features numerous and optional features very easy to add and this is very evident on the Scion tC. Furthermore, the tC uses the chassis of it ascendant Avensis. Scion tC is also known for its low price as well as the pure pricing marketing style that Toyota adopted. Aside from these, the Scion tC is also admired for its spectacular NHTSA Crash Test Ratings of 5 for 5 on all its side and packed with several supplemental restraint system.
