There are parts of a vehicle which are obviously better off when they are hidden
from view than when they are actually exposed. Most of these parts need to be
hidden simply because they need to be protected from the harshness of the outside
world. Examples of such parts are the engine and the radiator which are both housed
under the vehicle hood. They spend the entirety of their existence in this particular
location simply because the shelter and refuge that this spot offers makes it
the best place for them to be.
There are parts of a vehicle, however, which are obviously better off when they
are hidden from view simply because their absence from sight would make the general
appearance of an automobile a lot better. These parts include the hubs on a wheel
and the window regulators between car doors. It would not really matter if these
devices are exposed as long as they do their roles well. With these devices way
out of sight, however, the vehicle they adorn is able to achieve an even more
dignified look.
Like any other vehicle, the ones with the Saturn name employ the same technique
of concealing their own small mechanisms for aesthetic purposes. A case in point
is that they employ splendid-looking Saturn hubcaps for their wheels, consequently
giving the Saturn vehicle in general an even sharper countenance. It is for the
same reason that they employ the device called the Saturn valance. The Saturn
valance is a contraption found between bumpers, fenders and grilles and is employed
to hide structural parts from view.
The function of the Saturn valance in general is aesthetic in nature, the reason
why it is one of the most utilitarian accessories around. Its presence on Saturn
vehicles enables it to contribute great change to the appearance of these automobiles
in its own little way. Vehicles, especially those from Saturn, are able to make
the most out of their magnificent outward shows. This is because there are parts
like the Saturn valance which helps them find their stride.
