Saturn SL
Many automobiles are about the automotive world; as there are lots of automobile
manufacturers, competition on selling these units on the target market seems to
be tight. But every automobile manufacturer has their own strategies and ways
of getting their target markets; their visions and customer relations are one.
Saturn, for one, is a motor company that dedicated their service on proper customer
relations to gain loyal followers for their vehicles. Introduced and created many
automobiles to provide transportation solutions, Saturn has manufactured vehicle
models that are not only dependable but easy-to-own as well; the company’s lineup
of automobiles includes the Saturn SL models.
The Saturn SL is a vehicle belonging to the S-Series models of Saturn; it was
introduced to the market in the year 1990. The SL models includes three sedan
trims in its lineup; the SL, SL1 and the SL2. Each of these trim levels offers
features and equipments that increases as the trim choices ascends. The SL models
carried engine two options that are uniquely created by Saturn itself. Such engines
were the SOHC and the DOHC inline four cylinders that has 1.9 Liters displacement
each. Both the manual and the automatic transmissions were available.
As Saturn’s first line of automobiles, the SL models carried tempting features
for safety and comforts. The vehicle includes power disc/drum brakes, tilt steering
wheel, driver side airbag, rear defroster, driver automatic seatbelt, front shoulder
seatbelts, rear shoulder seatbelts, AM/FM radio and custom wheels. In 1996, the
SL model along with other S-series models of Saturn got redesigned. Freshened
looks and additional standard features and options were available for all the
S-Series Saturn which includes the SL model of course. At the end of 2002, however,
due to some reasons, the S-Series along with the SL model vehciles were discontinued
and replaced by the Saturn ION. There are still many used SL models in the market
for those who wants to own one, however.
