Saturn L-Series is a very young model that debuted in year 2000, but constant enhancements have been Saturn’s driving force. The company stated that for three years since its introduction, the L-Series already received 380 upgrades, modifications and new features. The L-Series is offered in two levels – the L200 and L300. Two versions of the sedan and two versions of the wagon are available. The wagons are named LW200 and LW300 and they come with equipments similar to the sedans.
The L300 is Saturn’s top-of-the-line midsize sedan that comes close to a luxury car in terms of specifications and features. Like the LW300, the L300 sedan has plenty of energy from its 3.0-liter V6 that produces 182 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. With the aid of the smooth and sharp four-speed automatic, L300’s acceleration is pretty good especially at highway speeds.
In 2004 model year, Saturn comes more powerful with a standard 4-cylinder engine. All the models of 2004 Saturn L300 were equipped with power door locks and windows, AM/FM stereo with CD, tilt steering, cruise control, heated outside mirrors, air conditioning and 60/40 split-folding rear seats. The cabin is spacious and comfortable for five passengers. To ensure safety, L-Series models were equipped with standard Head-curtain airbags, automatic headlamps and ABS with traction control.
The Saturn L300 comes with a perfect combination of power, comfort and value. Though it has undergone various modifications, the European genes are still evident in L300’s handling. It’s a good thing that much of the German engineering can still be observed in Saturn’s suspension. And by increasing the suspension compliance, Saturn provides softer and more comfortable ride. Furthermore, like other L-Series cars, the L300 comes nimble and stable in high-speed turns. Its versatility increases L300’s value even more
