Pontiac Cars has been producing top quality cars for the last decades. Since
then, they have popularized several models like Grand Prix, Le Mans, Firebird,
Sunfire, Sunbird and the GTO. Today, they are marketing these models from the
sixties and the seventies together with the smaller Pontiac vehicles like the
Solstice. They have also ventured in the SUV class with their entry of their own
Torrent and Montana in the market. The G6 coupe and sedan with the Vibe and the
rest of the fleet completes today’s Pontiac line-up.
But with these amazing vehicles will not be great without small parts that seemingly
have little importance. Because all we see in every Pontiac is the performance,
these parts are less noticed. Parts such as the weatherstrip that keep every Pontiac
interior in perfect shape.
A weatherstrip is a rubber molded material used to seal the vehicle’s window,
doors, and trunk which serves many purposes. During rainy season, the weatherstrip
keeps the water from entering the interior that could penetrate into the delicate
fiber of the carpet and upholstery that could certainly cause bad odor and mold
built up. This would really create bigger inconvenience to the driver and could
cause bigger amount of money by replacing the carpet and upholstery faster that
what it should serve. In a dry and hot weather the dust and dirt freely flies
with the air as the vehicle passes the road. Without a weatherstrip, these could
enter the interior and severely affects the vehicle interior giving a deteriorated
and dirty carpet and upholstery which would also result to inconvenience.
Another purpose of the weatherstrip is keeping the air secured inside the vehicle
especially when the air conditioning is turned on. And with proper weatherstrip,
the vehicle interior’s beauty is maintained for a longer time.
