Coming from General Motor's lineup of automobile makers which is Pontiac, the GTO is a muscle car that was produced for a decade from 1964 up to 1974. As others say, the GTO is the first and a genuine muscle car for it exemplifies what a real high-performance automobile should be. Another is the use of a larger engine for which the GTO share the new base engine in the Corvette called LS2. The LS2 boosts 405 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque from a new 6.0-liter V8 based on the aged LS1.
