Since 1893, Pontiac has been an established company as a horse-drawn carriage
producer based in Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan. In 1907, during the time
that the idea of transformation of the medium of transportation from horse drawn
carriages will be replaced by the so called “iron horses” or the car was on its
maturity, the creator of Pontiac, Edward M. Murphy decided to withdraw the production
of his horse drawn carriages and concentrated on the creation of his own version
of motor car. Two years later, half of the company was bought by the General Motors
and in 1926, Pontiac became the new member of the GM family that will concentrate
on making vehicles on the middle to lower bracket of the market. This new division
of the GM will incorporate a more sporting, aggressive, youthful feel to their
vehicles that may appeal much of the automobile market.
Since then, Pontiac has been creating fast, quality, and performance cars that
made them popular in the automotive market. Models such as GTO, Firebird Trans
Am, Bonneville, and Grand Prix has made its entry in the muscle car era. New models
such as the Aztec, Solstice and the returnee GTO, Sunfire, and Grand Prix are
also selling good in the market. These vehicles incorporate new designs and better
features and parts. Parts such as the header panel that made the front end of
the vehicle very attractive.
For Pontiac vehicles, the header panel is very important because it holds almost
all the parts such as the headlights and grille or grill. It also houses at the
same time protects the radiator from damage. The header panel, though invisible
from the exterior gives the best form to the Pontiac vehicle. So whether old or
new model, Pontiac header panel provides functionality and safety.
