The land of vehicles emanated from several countries that were known for technological and industrial developments, wherein vehicles originated and became popular. In the eastern coast there's Japan and Korea, on the other side of the world is Germany and of course United States. Plymouth is an American auto brand that is marketed by Chrysler Corporation. It went into production from 1928 until 2001. Having endured the industry’s tough competition for several decades only shows Plymouth’s reliability and high quality. In fact, the Plymouth brand ranks third among entry-level cars, with Chevrolet and Ford taking the upper slots.
The Plymouth Satellite became a separate car model in 1967, as the GTX trim occupied the top-of-the-line spot for the Plymouth Belvedere. On the same year, the Plymouth Satellite also got the popular 318 V8 engine, an engine famous for being bulletproof and virtually indestructible. A year later, the high performance Plymouth Sport Satellite was introduced and was sold in 2-door coupe, 2-door convertible and wagon body styles. This line-up was carried only until the 1970 model year. From 1971, the Plymouth Satellite was offered in Sebring, Custom and Regent Wagon trim levels.
Satellite is among the Plymouth models which barely became known to people, but the existence lasted for ten years. The reason for this was that, Chrysler used Plymouth Satellite as a name for several other models. First for the upscale Plymouth Belvedere in 1965, and then as down-sized Plymouth Belvedere Satellite on the following year. The car was just a version of another model, nothing more, just a plain Belvedere with few variance in minor pieces. Another one was the Satellite Sebring. Other than these, Plymouth Satellite was merely a car with a B-body marketed under the family car market.
