For some, driving could be one of the most tiring and boring experience which
becomes a part of their daily routine. And the way things are going, you can never
escape driving because obviously, you need to travel in almost any instance from
going to work or just rushing to the grocery store. That is why, some are trying
to enjoy to the time of in their car by experiencing the fresh breeze of air coming
outside the car. But when this air comes directly from your face, it becomes a
bit unpleasant. That is why all vehicles are equipped with windshield to eliminate
the flow of air to your face.
Windshield also deflects all the elements that freely flying with the air such
as insects, dusts, and leaves. With windshield on the vehicle, the driver and
the passenger are safe from airborne road debris such as rocks and other sharp
objects that could cause severe damage. Passengers are also protected from rain.
Windshield also acts as an aerodynamic part that could contribute to the speed
of the vehicle without adding power and spending more fuel by stepping on the
gas harder.
Windshields from older vehicles used an ordinary piece of grass which, in case
of impact shatters in large and sharp pieces, could result to fatal injury to
the driver as well as the passengers. An improved, windshield with tougher component
replaced this but eventually was replaced by the windshield which is used by modern
vehicles today. The new windshield is made of two curved glass with a rubbery
plastic laminate sandwiched between the two. This is more durable and reliable
in case of impacts and accidents.
