A company loved most for their small and compact vehicles, the Nissan Motor Corporation was never really known as a manufacturer of full-size vans and minivans. But if they do, you can be assured that they are of premium quality. The Nissan Van was manufactured and sold by Nissan in the late 1980s through the early 1990s. Like the next minivans that came after it, the Nissan Van was a totally useful and practical vehicle.
The Nissan Van was a 4-door minivan available only in rear-wheel drive configuration. The minivan was available in two trim levels: the base XE trim and the upscale GXE trim. Both trim levels are equipped with a standard 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that is rated at 106 horsepower and outputs 137 lb-ft of torque. Standard transmission for the XE trim is a 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The GXE trim, on the other hand, is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, which, by the way, is also available for the XE trim as optional equipment.
Although a bit old for our time, the Nissan Van comes equipped with a modest amount of comfort and convenience features, like air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cassette player and others.
