Nissan has always been a leader in innovation that is why they belong to the
most sough-after brand of vehicles in the world, particularly for people who like
at least the look of high-performance street racing. They have built some of the
finest and top-performing street-legal sports cars and their latest crop of models
in no exception. Each and every Nissan vehicle is equipped durable and dependable
parts which really are the key to Nissan’s exhilarating performance. But even
if Nissan cars are already filled with these stuffs, some Nissan owners still
wants to augment their vehicles in any way. Some are trying to install add ons
like floor mats, spoilers, bike racks and the like.
But there are also some who opt to install their cars with parts that would add
to their vehicle’s performance while others go for parts that could add comfort
to them. While many car owners or drivers consider shocks and struts as comforting
feature, they hold an important part in the viability of a vehicle. A bumpy ride
is not only jarring to the vehicle’s occupants; it is hard on the chassis parts.
However, shocks and struts function does not end there. They also play a very
crucial role in the vehicle safety, steering, and stability.
A Nissan strut is a structural suspension component that works like a shock absorber
yet used with a different type of front suspension. In other words, struts are
automotive suspension unit which combines the primary function of a shock absorber
(as a damper), with the capability to sustain sideways loads not along its axis
of compression, a bit similar to a sliding pillar suspension. In order for a strut
to serve its function excellently, they must have a more rugged design with mounting
points close to its middle for attachment of those loads.
