One can best describe the Nissan Sentra as an entry-level car and…
nothing more. There isn't really much to say about the Nissan Sentra,
much less if you compare it with other high priced local or import
cars. The Nissan Sentra is nice, indeed, but it never really stood out
from the rest. However, the Nissan Sentra can be considered as one of
the best entry-level vehicles there is—an affordable car that can bring
you from point A to point B without much trouble. And while it won't
give you the same level of luxury that you can find in higher priced
vehicles, it could definitely provide you with a refined and
comfortable ride.
The Nissan Sentra is a compact, entry-level vehicle
manufactured by the Japanese auto manufacturer Nissan and sold
exclusively to the U.S. and to their other American vehicle market like
Mexico and Brazil. It is basically a re-badged and export version of
the Nissan Sunny that is sold locally by Nissan in Japan. In other
markets, the Nissan Sentra would refer to a re-badged version of the
Nissan Pulsar.
The Nissan Sentra was introduced in the U.S. automotive scene
in 1982, then already as an entry-level vehicle. Despite being an
entry-level car, the Nissan Sentra showcased a commendable performance,
a refined ride, and a smooth and elegant style. More than 20 years
later, the Nissan Sentra is still in the U.S. market, minus the glamour
and popularity it had back then, however. The Nissan Sentra has
remained to be a good selling vehicle, however, still ranking today as
Nissan's second-best seller. And to bring back the glamour and
stylishness in the car, a new generation of the Nissan Sentra is
expected to be released for the 2007 model year.
In its current form, the Nissan Sentra is available in four
trim levels: the standard 1.8 and 1.8 S trim levels, and the sporty
SE-R and SE-R Spec V trim levels. The standard trims are equipped with
a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine rated at 126 hp while the SE-R and SE-R
Spec V are equipped with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine rated at 165hp
and 175 hp, respectively. While it is an entry-level and a not so
popular vehicle, you can expect that it equipped with high quality
Nissan Sentra parts; the same quality parts that Nissan vehicles have
been known for.
