The radiator functions to monitor and normalize the vehicle temperature as the
engine continues to perform its task under the hood. Inefficient radiator may
tend to cause overheating which may further cause great damage to those sensitive
components under the hood. When this happens, brace yourself to face a large amount
of payment to be incurred as you have your hood mechanical components repaired
and replaced.
The most direct and simplest type of cooling is known as the air cooled, that
is, the heat being drawn off by a moving air that is in direct contact with the
engine that is working under the vehicle’s hood. Nissan radiators are known for
their efficient performance. Likewise, the addition of a Nissan radiator overflow tank accomplishes more as it is geared more towards environmental concerns.
Nissan radiator overflow tank allows the forcing out of the coolant out of the
radiator overflow pipe then makes possible its return to the system. Therefore,
there is a circular motion of the coolant. How does it work? As the engine cools,
the pressure therein is balanced so the coolant is able to go back into the radiator.
Because Nissan vehicles use Nissan radiator overflow tanks, its cooling system
is referred to be known as a “closed cooling system.” The coolant is added to
the radiator overflow tank that has a special mark for the proper coolant level
area.
To ensure your own safety while checking on what and how your vehicle’s operation
under the hood goes, take note not to remove the radiator cap in the radiator
unless you are very certain that the system is already cold. Carelessness in doing
so would risk you of getting spewed with hot steam and coolant as there is still
pressure present in the radiator. Thus, extreme cautions must be observed while
working on closed cooling systems such as the Nissan’s.
