Nissan Fog Lights
Adverse driving conditions like rainy or snowy highways, foggy locations and other glare producing instances may call for a special type of car lighting system like Nissan fog lights. Fog lights from Nissan allow clearer visibility because of the special type of light beam that it produces. Fog lights are positioned below the headlamp to serve as back-up during the mentioned weather conditions. Headlights produce high beam of light which may cause glare or whiteout. The amount of glare would depend on the relationship of the angles between the line of sight and the light that the car gives off. In the case of fog lights, the beam produced is flat that is why the direction is directly in front of the road.
The construction and components making up a fog light is not universal so it varies from one make to the other. The reflector and lens are two of the important components that must be checked in choosing fog lights add-ons. Lead crystal, plastic, ordinary glass and hardened glass are the commonly used materials for fog lights lens. Preferable among the materials are lead crystal since it allows bigger amount of light to pass through. The reflector on the other hand is the shiny component of the fog lights that collects the light from the bulbs and in turn reflects it at definite angles through the lens.
Mounting the fog lights must match the desired purpose that the user wants to have. Fog lights that are meant to be used during extreme weather conditions must be mounted in a lower position. However such position subjects the lights to possible impacts of stone and other particles and objects. Fog lights positioned above the bumper are meant for ordinary driving conditions for cornering or simply for better view of the road ahead.
