Mitsubishi Galant
Part of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s genuine products is the Mitsubishi Galant. The Mitsubishi Galant is a mid-size automobile that was first launched in 1969.
The 1969 Mitsubishi Galant model year came in two-and four-door sedan trims and
have been sold in other country automobile markets in the name of Colt Galant.
The choice of 1.3 or 1.5 liter four-cylinder engines came with it. In 1970, the
fastback coupe model known as the Hardtop was added. Thus, it became the very
first Japanese production passenger car without the integrated side pillars.
The second generation Mitsubishi Galant came in 1973 and now in both sedan and
GTO forms. The new models were sold in Australia as the Chrysler Valiant Galant
and in Europe with the name of Colt Galant. Those years embedded the coke-bottle
styling so the 1973 Mitsubishi Galant model year was more curvaceous. The third
generation Mitsubishi Galant dated back in 1976. This time, the vehicle model
was divided into two models namely the Galant Sigma for the sedan and wagon trims,
and the Galant Lambda for the coupe.
The Mitsubishi Galant had been known in many names in different country automobile
markets. But one thing was for sure, the Mitsubishi Galant was a real hit. In
1980, the vehicle gained a facelift. In 1981, Mitsubishi Galant was awarded as
the Car of the Year in New Zealand. A new model Galant came out in 1992 in four-door
and five-door liftback. The 1992 design had been carried on for the 1996 model
year and with the addition of the station wagon. Indeed, Mitsubishi Galant flies
with colors in its wings bearing the Japanese technology with it. It is a fact
that its conquering the United States really did an unforgettable mark in its
history as one of the greatest cars that Japanese manufacturers have ever done.
