Mercury Capri
Nowadays, we value
vehicles so much; we even tend to nurture them like we nurture kids,
we're never too happy seeing scratches in them. For auto enthusiasts,
its like watching their own kids when they're seeing their vehicles
with pride; and who wouldn't if you have probably the most
sophisticated vehicles sporting uniqueness in appeals and performance.
But, we don't all have vehicles as sophisticated as the others; perhaps
we have just that enough o exude quality and performance and a little
exquisiteness, doesn't really matter right? As long as your vehicle is
giving you the apt performance you expect from it, then the vehicle
should be fine. Resulting from these, automakers are creating vehicles
for wide market segments and in variety. The Mercury division of Ford,
which created models such as the Mercury Capri, is an example of automobile brand combining the simple principles of reliability
with entry-level luxury.
Mercury was founded by Ford in 1939, literally from scratch. But
gradually, the name gathered success in 1950 when the formula of
stretching and lowering those existing Ford platforms were accepted and
embraced by auto enthusiasts. Since then, it had been creating vehicles
that its followers had loved. The Mercury Capri, for one, has been
created and its name were used in several different cars for years;
these were sold under Ford Motor Company's Lincoln-Mercury Division in
the northern part of America. In 1969 to 1977, the Capri was simply
called the Capri and carried no particular marquee. Then, in 1979 to
1986, a version of the Ford's Mustang was sold under the LM division as
the Mercury Capri; it was then built with a Ford Fox platform.
Mercury Capri was manufactured and sold by Ford's Lincoln-Mercury
Division until the year 1994. The good car has been something that most
of its lovers had treasured; good specifications, quality parts and
equipments, spectacular features and apt performance. Many even still
maintain a Capri as of this date. Mostly, a Capri was powered by a 5.0
Liter HO 302 engine. It also offered package that includes spoiler, air
dams and trim pieces making more lovable and such a performer.
