Mercedes Benz corner lights come as one of the safety features of this luxurious vehicle lineup. Corner lights are mounted in the front corners of the vehicle. They are placed either
beside the headlights, on the side of the fender or the quarter panel, or are
included in the wrap around bumper. The internet market sells various kinds and
makes of Mercedes Benz corner lights which will automatically highlight your taste
and your vehicular sense of fashion.
Corner lights hand in hand do their task with the turn signals to warn the vehicles
in front of you that you are cornering. Some may opt not to have corner lights
installed in their vehicles but if safety is your primary concern, you will find
the idea great and beneficial.
Customized corner lights are available for Mercedes Benz vehicles. Some corner
lights are plain running lights while the rest are merely reflectors. Reflector
types of corner lights are actually more of styling accessories than safety features.
They make the vehicle more elegant and classy.
Replacing your Mercedes Benz corner lights do not entail a tough labor. You can
do it by yourself by following the steps herein. What you will need is a flathead
screwdriver, a Philips screwdriver, pliers, and silicone sealant or caulking.
First, you pop the hood of the vehicle. With your Philips screwdriver, remove
the screw holding down the corner light onto the chassis and slide the corner
light towards the front of the vehicle. Then, you can now remove the bulb connector
by turning it counter clockwise. After which, clean off the accumulated dirt in
the bulb area.
Next, be careful not to tear the rubber lining as you separate it from the plastic.
With the flathead screwdriver, carefully separate the clear and gray plastic pieces
starting at the bottom of the corner light that is closer to the amber piece.
Use the pliers to get a hold of the amber piece that is inside. Remember to be
careful from removing it from its attachment point inside the corner lamp. Then,
reattach the rubber lining using the silicone caulk and let it dry for a few minutes.
Attach the bulbs and the corner lamps to the vehicle. Place back the screws to
ensure a tight hold of it. Now you can enjoy driving around with your newly-attached
and newly replaced Mercedes Benz corner lights.
