Many people seem to agree that if a car is a Mercedes, then it definitely is a good car. Mercedes Benz vehicles have always been known for their quality, luxury, and performance—qualities that Mercedes Benz vehicles have kept through the years. So as soon as vehicle buyers know that the car they are looking at is a Mercedes Benz, or as soon as they see that three-pointed star emblem, they would instantly agree that it is a good car they are looking at.

Not for the Mercedes Benz C220. While the Mercedes Benz C220 CDI is genuinely a Mercedes Benz, with all the simple yet elegant looks and the load of luxuries and equipments common to Mercedes Benz vehicles, not everyone seems to agree that the C220 is a good car. And while it looks just as good and feels just as comfortable as the other Mercedes Benz vehicles, some critics are not nearly amazed with its performance.

The Mercedes Benz C220 CDI is a small car manufactured and sold by Mercedes Benz together with other vehicles in its C-Class line. The Mercedes Benz C220 is a 4-door sedan equipped with a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine. It comes standard with a 6-speed manual transaxle, although other transmission types like a 5-speed automatic are also available. The Mercedes Benz C220 CDI, however, is available only in Europe and is not sold in the U.S., just like all other Mercedes Benz C-Class vehicles equipped with a diesel engine.

Inside and out, the Mercedes Benz C220 CDI is undoubtedly a Mercedes. Small in size, you will be amazed with the number of features and high quality Mercedes Benz C220 parts available for the car. It can seat four people comfortably, with enough space to allow the maximum amount of movement for each person seated inside. Outside, it has the conservative but stylish curves conventional for Mercedes Benz vehicles.

So, what does critics find wrong with the Mercedes Benz C220? The very reason why it was not sold in the U.S.—its diesel engine. While the diesel engine performs nothing like the old diesel engines, it is still noisy and unrefined compared to other vehicles competing with it. It is quick to accelerate though, and provides enough power to run smoothly on highways. And with the addition of a little more high quality, aftermarket Mercedes Benz C220 parts and a bunch of improvements, we're sure that the Mercedes Benz C220 would perform as good as the other Mercedes Benz cars.
