Failure is the most unwanted thing to happen to a business, for it can actually lead to bankruptcy. Thus companies are very careful with every decisions they make and every step taken has gone through deliberate analysis and planning. The sad thing is that, this is sometimes unavoidable. Car makers sometimes build units which don't generate income, but the other way around. Lincoln was not exempted, even if for years it has been creating remarkable platforms.
Lincoln Blackwood is the greatest failure that ever came to the marque, indeed was considered as one of the most spectacular failures in the history of auto machining. 2002 marked the entry of Lincoln Blackwood in the industry. This failure is the first ever luxury pickup truck engineered by Lincoln to pursue success in due of the Lincoln Navigator.
Black is the only color made available for the Lincoln Blackwood, not to denote the horrifying phenomenon that came to Lincoln but to complement the name, black from all over until the interior touches. The truck bed featured power tonneau and plush carpeting, making it look more of a trunk. The exterior had a fine finish, with curves, lines, corners and edges that blended well. Lincoln Blackwood was pampered with modern features such as automatic climate control, power seats, power moonroof, HomeLink universal remote control, power adjustable pedals, memory function for the driver's seat, heated mirrors, and Windstar reverse sensing system.
Considering the capabilities and amenities present in the Blackwood, the reason for such an undesirable thing can't be seen. Maybe it's just that the customer set favor unto other vehicles rather that it. And or maybe because the construction of the vehicle took only 15 months, which is fairly rare. Consequently, the vehicle has only been in the showrooms for a year.
