Though Kia, a South Korean car manufacturer has become well-known in the United States in producing sporty Sport Utility Vehicle, the subcompact Sephia was offered on the market first. The Kia Sephia which was known as the Mentor in some markets was a family car manufactured by Kia debuted in Korea in 1992, and in late 1993, an export edition began trickling into the United States.
The Sephia was the Korean marque's venture into mass production family cars for the overseas markets and was sold as either a hatchback or a sedan. The same size and weight to a Ford Escort or Hyundai Elantra, the front-drive notchback sedan came with an 88-horsepower, 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine.
The Kia Sephia's interior was roomy with a plenty of room in the front for a six-foot, three-inch driver. The front seats? They were wide, very accommodating, and supportive. The power windows, mirrors, cruise control, tachometer, variable intermittent windshield wipers and AM/FM/CD 6-speaker audio system are all included in the Kia Sephia comfort and convenience package.
The safety facilities of the Kia Sephia like the driver and passenger front airbags, height adjustable shoulder belts and three car-seat tether tie-downs on the rear parcel shelf and an emergency internal trunk are also there when you need them the most.
Year after after, Kia Sephia received several changes to fully satisfy its patrons. This South Korean subcompact might be the perfect one for you.
