Jaguar Xkr
Jaguar XKR was introduced in 1999 as the supercharged variant of the equally excellent
Jaguar XK8. Both Jaguar vehicle models had been inspired from another variant,
the Jaguar XJ-S, but with numerous changes applied to their platforms. Since the
time Jaguar Cars, Ltd. rolled out with its production of legendary and performance-capable
vehicles, an undisputable wave had hit the automobile industry. Series of Jaguar
car models came and went away yet the company never fails to bring packages of
surprises that went along with every car they launch to the public. And likewise,
the Jaguar vehicle patrons always come up with open arms welcoming every Jaguar
vehicle model.
The introduction of the Jaguar XKR automatically announced the lineage it bears—curvaceous
body lines, well-done leather interior, taut suspension, and positive power-to-weight
ratio. Both the coupe and convertible trims came available for the Jaguar XKR
but in limited editions.
Models that made a mark in Jaguar's production history include the XKR Silverstone
which came out in 2001. 250 cars were produced and released in North America.
The 2001 model year embodies a platinum paint finish, customed interior, and a
high-performance package. In the year 2002, the Jaguar XKR 100 followed. Of this
model year, 30 coupes and 270 convertibles were sold in North America. The anthracite
paint finish, 20-inch modular wheels, Brembo brakes, and custom interior are the
vehicel's highlights. And then finally, the Jaguar XKR Portfolio emerged as the
2004 model year. Among its best features are the 20-inch alloy wheels and custom
colored interior.
