Isuzu is the most experienced automaker of Japan having been making vehicles since 1918. Isuzu engineering raises the bar beyond acceptable limits and widens the horizons of their capabilities. For almost nine decades now, Isuzu has been known for their excellence in the automobile industry and their diesel engines has been garnering commendation all over the world, the millions of Isuzu engines that adorn trucks and busses worldwide prove this.

This highly acclaimed Japanese automaker did not start out as Isuzu motors, not until 1949. Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Gas and Electric Industrial Co. jointly made the decision to build automobiles and technical help came from Wolseley Motor Company from UK. This all started in 1916, two years after the Wolseley Model A-9 was released and another two years the partnership went into full gear and released commercial trucks. A couple of other partnerships and name changes went on until it became Isuzu motors after the Isuzu River in Japan. In 1953, it went into a technical cooperation with Rootes to manufacture the Hillman Minx passenger car. They soon entered into a capital agreement with General Motors to produce the Gemini and which eventually jump-started Isuzu’s exports to the US. The company started exporting cars in the US in 1981 and ever since has produced a number of popular cars like the Rodeo, Axiom, Trooper and the current Ascender model, which so many people enjoy today.

Currently, Isuzu only produces SUV’s as the premier lineup of vehicles in America; they will soon release two new pickup trucks, the I-280 and the I-350. Both will be fitted with the same excellence in performance, superb engineering and tough durability bestowed upon every Isuzu vehicle. If you need a vehicle that could take on the wilds of America then Isuzu is the name you must remember, their rugged beauty and their versatility plus the comforts of luxury are all wrapped up in one package to provide you with everything you need, Isuzu vehicles doesn’t fall short to the task.
