Hyundai Scoupe
The power under Hyundai Scoupe's hood is taken from the power train
of Hyundai Excel which is also included in Hyundai's powerful vehicle
line-up. The 1.5 liter four cylinder engine is paired with a standard
five speed manual and optional four speed automatic transmission.
Yearly changes were done for Hyundai Scoupe starting from the second
generation produced to the recent and the latest auto make.
Hyundai Scoupe from 1991 to 1995 have the components and
features of the Excel sedan as shown by the engine and other power
train specs. However it also has its own distinctness in terms of
style, performance and handling dynamics. Little changes were done for
1992 but the coming of the next year paved way to several changes that
gave a refreshed style and design to Hyundai Scoupe. Most changes were
done on the outside as exhibited by the new head lights, changed color
tone on the body panels and other side moldings, enhanced front
features for a more lasting first impressions, sportier rear bumper and
much better tail lights.
A new turbo model engine was made available with a renewed
capacity of 115 horsepower. It features three valves per cylinder and
multi point fuel injection system. Turbo models are paired with a five
speed manual transmission while the LS and base models could make use
of an optional four speed automatic shift.
Anyone owning a Hyundai Scoupe who wants to further maximize
the potentials of their car can mount other add ons and accessories for
style and performance. It is available in any auto part market and
