On the front part of your vehicle is found a pair of headlights or headlamp, the light component that are usually mounted on the front-end. The purpose of which is to illuminate the road ahead while you are driving and is mostly needed at night driving or during low visibility periods. The lamps cast lights so to guide you throughout the dark terrain thereby preventing you to collide or bump into another automobile of object.

One drawback, however, when using this pair of automotive headlights is that it could produce beams or rays that can momentarily blind the drivers driving on the other road lane towards your direction. If that driver will not be alert enough, chances of accidents can never be too far. Another problem with headlights is that they sometimes provide lights that are enough especially during bad weather days. To both cases, most drivers would elect to upgrade the existing headlights of their vehicle to improve their function.

Headlights come in many types. These are: lens optics, reflector optics, HID headlamps, LED headlights, and projector optics. Each one of these types has a special role in providing the light ahead of the road. In upgrading factory-installed headlights, most of the drivers prefer projector headlights because of the advantages that they have over other kinds of headlights.

One characteristic is that they produce crisper and more solid beams that would enable drivers to see the situation ahead sooner than any other headlights will provide. Another is that the rays are not scattered because the condenser lens feature slight fresnels that also results to reduced cutoff sharpness.

Projector headlights is a system that also feature a filament situated at one focus of an elliptical and the condenser lens found in front of the lamp. Between the reflector and lens, the image plane has a shade with solenoid in it. This is another advantage wherein the lamps can produce low or high beams. It can also be stationary but separate headlamps are required for this.
