For over a century, GMC has been producing top notch vehicles that stood out
from the rest of its competition. Started as the Rapid Motor Vehicle Company in
1902, GMC, as we know it today was bought by the General motor and was first named
as the General Motors Truck Company. It concentrated on building trucks for several
decades until in 1996, when General Motors decided to remove the “Truck” from
its name hence the GMC became the name it presently holds. As part of the General
Motors, the GMC together with other GM owned company such as Chevrolet, Buick,
Opel, Holden, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Saturn, and Saab, produces cars with
elegance, style, luxury, performance, toughness, and power.
As part of the GMC’s expansion and commitment to serve more costumers, GMC today
widen their production and added several platforms and models outside the truck
market. GMC now produces vans and SUVs. Popular models in line up Canyon, Envoy,
Safari, Savana, Savana Cargo Van, Sierra 1500, Sierra, 2500HD, Sierra 3500, Sierra
Hybrid, Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL, Jimmy, Sonoma. These high performance marques
incorporate power, style, and technology. And what more style a GMC can get without
the exterior image especially at the front.
Headlights, grille, bumper, GMC emblem, corner lights, and hood, are some of
the parts that could be seen at the front of every GMC vehicle. But there is another
part that is commonly overlooked, the nose panel. Nose panel is a sheetmetal that
is attached to the front of the vehicle, at the grille to provide extra rigidity
in the vehicle. This makes every GMC tougher inside and out. With all the important
parts at the front of the GMC, one thing is for sure, GMC made each of their vehicles
tough and beautiful.
