If you own a Ford, that’s one thing you should be
very proud of! Not only because it has been manufactured by the world’s
biggest automobile producer but also because Ford vehicles have long
been symbols of American freedom and mobility. With the purely American
engineering, styling and ingenuity, Fords truly represent the
attainment of American Dream. For many decades now, Ford provided the
industry with superbly engineered cars, tough and powerful trucks,
functional and well-designed SUVs and other vehicle line that has been
among the best in the industry.
Cars without Ford badge is not the right one for you. In same way, auto
parts which are not “Built Ford Tough” are absolutely not the right
ones for Ford vehicles. Every unit that comes out in Ford’s assembly
plant is sure to have been equipped with highly durable and top quality
auto parts. And these include body panels.
Ford body panels come extremely tough. It is for the reason that they
are made to perform various tasks. Body panels are the ones that
protect the passengers from road debris, air drafts and other outside
elements. As they form the car’s body, body panels provide solid mounts
for other auto parts and systems inside the vehicle. Also, they keep
the interior parts and features of the vehicle from falling and at the
same time protect the passengers in the event of collisions.
Without the body panels, your vehicle wouldn’t be called a vehicle. It
would just look like a skeleton that’s unpleasant to the eye. Just like
in other vehicles, Ford body panels are usually composed of the hood,
trunklid, fenders, doors, roofs and quarter panels welded together to
form the car’s body.
Ford header panels are typically divided into three categories – the
front body panel, rear body panel and the rocker panel. The front body
panel is portion that runs from the front corner of the hood up to the
front door while the rocker panel is located along the bottom of the
car’s body, beneath the doors. The rear body panel is comprised of an
outer skin and inner panels. The inner panels come as reinforcement for
the rear portion of the vehicle compartment, the trunk and the wheel
housings.
