Auto air conditioning, for many of us, is just a simple process of blowing cold air into the passenger compartment of our vehicles. In reality, however, the air conditioning process is not as easy as blowing in cold air. In fact, the auto AC system does not even blow cold air into the vehicle’s passenger compartment. Rather, it absorbs warm or hot air inside the vehicle to lower the air’s over-all temperature.

The air conditioning system of your vehicle is composed of many components scattered almost over the entire length of the vehicle. Among the more important parts of this system are the evaporator, expansion valve, and the A/C condenser. A refrigerant runs through all of these components, absorbing heat as it passes through your vehicle’s passenger compartment, and releasing such heat as it leaves the compartment. It is in the evaporator where the refrigerant absorbs heat and in the condenser where such heat is released.

The A/C condenser is basically a coil or tube where the heated refrigerant is passed into after running through the evaporator. The main function of the condenser is to radiate the refrigerant’s heat to the outside air before it is again passed into the evaporator. A fan shared with the vehicle’s radiator often aids the A/C condenser in its function.

For more than 100 years, Ford has shown us its dedication in giving people a better method of transportation. Just as the performance of Ford vehicles has greatly improved through the years, so was the comfort and convenience amenities it is equipped with. The entirety of Ford’s air conditioning system, including the Ford A/C condenser, is expected to perform at its best at all times. Malfunctions, however, are inevitable and sometimes in your vehicle’s life, you would have to repair or replace its A/C condenser. Various websites in the Internet can help you with this, and with the number of sites available for you, you’ll surely have no problem.
