Many people today know too little about the Eagle brand of vehicles.
Some are not even aware that such a vehicle brand once existed. But if
there is one reason why most of us don’t know what Eagle vehicles are,
that is because the brand is not really known. And while we must have
already seen some of these vehicles, we must have easily mistaken them
for a Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler or even Mitsubishi.
Eagle was once a division of the Chrysler Corporation,
although the division is a bit small, unpopular and short lived. It was
established in 1987 after Chrysler was able to acquire American Motors
Corporation (AMC). The name was taken from the AMC Eagle, one of the
last vehicles manufactured by AMC as an independent corporation.
There were actually a number of vehicles manufactured under
the Eagle brand. Among these are the Eagle Premier, Eagle Talon, Eagle
Medallion, Eagle Summit, and Eagle Vision. Not all of these vehicles,
however, were designed by Chrysler. The Eagle Premier and Eagle
Medallion, for example, were designed by Renault. The Eagle Summit and
Eagle Talon, on the other hand, were designed by Mitsubishi. Among the
Eagle vehicles, only the Eagle Vision’s design is what Chrysler can
claim as actually their own.
For a decade of existence, the number of Eagle vehicle models
could have been enough to carry them through success. In fact, the
quality of Eagle vehicles are at par or comparable with all the other
Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth vehicle of the same size and the same
level category. But it was not the problem of the Eagle. Instead, its
problem is product recognition. With a lot of other Chrysler vehicles
having the same model names and actually looking a lot like the Eagle
vehicle models, people would often recognize better the Plymouth,
Dodge, Chrysler, or even the Mitsubishi variety.
But just as the other Chrysler vehicles are equipped with high
quality parts, so are the Eagle vehicles. Every Eagle vehicle is
equipped with high quality Eagle parts that enable them to perform at
their best and look great. And should you find the need to replace any
Eagle part of your vehicle, make sure that you select only those of
premium quality.
