ada is a mid-size vehicle introduced by Dodge in 1980 and was sold through the 1983 model year. It replaced the Dodge Magnum in the Chrysler vehicle line-up, thus ending the muscle car style period for the Dodge division. The Dodge Mirada was a rear-wheel drive, two-door hardtop coupe. Its chassis was based on the Chrysler J body platform and was closely similar to other Chrysler J body cars like the Chrysler Imperial and the Chrysler Cordoba.

When it was introduced in 1980, the Dodge Mirada was available with three engine options. An 85-hp Slant Six engine was common, but it was also sold with engine options such as the 130-hp 318 V8 engine and the 150-hp 360 V8 engine. On later production models, however, most of these engines were replaced with a carbureted 360s.

Just like its predecessor, the Dodge Magnum, the Dodge Mirada did not become popular and also didn't sell well. This probably is the main reason why the Dodge Mirada was sold only for four model years. And for its entire four year run, only about 5,120 Dodge Mirada vehicles were manufactured and sold, well below the regular numbers usually manufactured by any auto manufacturing company. No wonder, only a few people today knows what the Mirada is.
