What do you expect people would tell you if you ask them about the
Dodge 400? Not much probably. And I'll even bet on it that even your
local vehicle parts source or your vehicle mechanic knows little or
none about the vehicle and can't provide you with any Dodge 400 part.
For a vehicle that was manufactured and sold for barely two model
years, you really can't expect people to know a lot about it. Add this
to the fact that the Dodge 400 is closely similar to a lot of other
vehicles manufactured by Chrysler in the 1980s.
The Dodge 400 is a compact vehicle manufactured and sold by
the Dodge division of the Chrysler Corporation from the 1982 model year
to the 1983 model year. It is based on the same platform used by the
Chrysler LeBaron and actually looked very much like it. Upon
introduction, the Dodge 400 was available in 2-door coupe body style. A
few months later, a 4-door Dodge 400 sedan was also introduced.
However, unlike its corporate twin Chrysler LeBaron, there is not
station wagon version introduced for the 400. But convertible versions
for both models were made available halfway of both vehicle's
introductory year.
The Dodge 400 is a product of the Chrysler Corporation's K-Car
era. With a lot of K-Cars manufactured by Chrysler during the period
and even prior to the introduction of the Dodge 400, it's style has
become too common that its introduction failed to deliver thrills and
anticipations, as it is common for new vehicle products. But while the
Dodge 400 was just one of the many K-Cars, it was considered by
Chrysler as a Super-K car because of its superior design compared to
the previous K-cars. Also, the Dodge 400 is among the last original
K-cars manufactured by the corporation.
It is difficult to find information about the Dodge 400, but
it is even more difficult to find Dodge 400 parts that one can use to
restore or repair an old Dodge 400. It is a rare instance if you can
find a Dodge 400 part from local sources because finding one through
the Internet is already taxing. But you don't have to worry because
there are still websites that can offer you not just Dodge 400 auto
