It began in 1970 during the Osaka World Expo when the company launched the "pavilion cars". The line was followed with an electric TR-503E and another electric car prototype. It was already considered a feat, considering this was in the 1970s when electricity on vehicles was practically unheard of and was just a concept in the minds of other companies.
