Cruise Control Lever
The Cruise Control Lever on your car lets you use your vehicle's cruise control feature. By switching this lever into the "On" position, your car automatically moves at a pre-set speed. If you have a newer vehicle model, then your car may also have a "Coast" and "Accelerate" function which lets you indirectly control the speed of your vehicle's cruise control—increasing your vehicle's speed in pre-set increments. Some cruise control assemblies even have buttons for "Resume", "Set", and "Cancel"—giving you full control over your vehicle's cruising.

Now, you may ask yourself why your Cruise Control Lever is such an important component. Well, let's put it this way. If you can't activate your vehicle's cruise control feature, then a 2-hour land trip will seem longer than it actually is. That's because your vehicle's cruise control feature can be very useful during long road trips, since this feature lets you sit back and relax as your car does the accelerating for you.

That is why it's always a good idea to keep your Cruise Control Lever working in top condition. Though cruise control may not be a necessity, you've got to admit that being able to cruise on highways is truly a convenience. If your lever isn't working, then you've just robbed yourself of a possibly comfortable drive. So if you're having difficulties turning that lever and activating your vehicle's cruise control feature, make sure you repair that lever of yours as soon as possible.
