Chevrolet Division of General Motors has been dispensing different
lineups of vehicles in the industry for almost a century now. Start of
Chevrolet lineup took on way back in 1911. Chevrolet’s commitments in
delivering vehicles, which would be catered not only to well-privileged
individuals but also to the general masses as well, were seen through
production from the early years of the century. Contemporary production
included Chevrolet Express vans.
Chevrolet
Express vehicles are another lineup for Chevrolet, which were added as
new collection of vehicles in 1996. Also referred to as Chevrolet
E-series, these vehicles are full-sized vans catered to functions that
would haul large items. These vehicles are perfect for working class
that needed to carry a variety of heavy and large items. Electricians,
plumbers and other similar occupations found convenience when Chevrolet
Express vans are released in the market.
Though Chevrolet Express vehicles are utilized as work vans, these can
also provide an ideal passenger van that can accommodate of up 8 to 15
persons. As a transport van for both cargo and passengers, Chevrolet
Express vans features a multitude of safety and security features.
Safety features included standard dual-stage frontal air bags. Safety
belts were not only provided for the driver and front passenger but
three point-lap-and-shoulder belts are also provided for the first and
second row passengers. For the younger passengers, Chevrolet Express
vans are also equipped with Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children
(LATCH) system. Another great feature is the OnStar system that not
only offers security but convenience as well.
Chevrolet Express vans are offered in different models such as the
regular and extended wheelbase lengths. For hauling large cargo,
Chevrolet Express Cargo vans are also available. Other models for
Chevrolet Express vans are: Chevrolet Express Cutaway vans, which are
great for commercial uses and can be converted into school bus; and the
Chevrolet Express Passenger vans.
