Chevy El Camino
Chevrolet El Camino vehicles introduction to the industry made a
stir because of its unique, awkward albeit exceptionally eye-catching
style. These vehicles were manufactured based on a passenger car
chassis with a big pick-up truck bed in the back. It was already unique
in its innovative style but what had caused an added surprise was its
truncated but attractive cabin.
In those
days wherein trucks are only used around for commercial functions, if
one would be looking at Chevrolet El Camino, one cannot decide whether
it was a passenger car or a pick-up truck. Manufactured by General
Motors under Chevrolet Division, El Camino is actually a small pick-up
truck launched in 1959 as its first model year. Chevrolet apparently
has given serious bodywork in terms of the aesthetic concept of El
Camino vehicles. Chevrolet El Camino was everything about gorgeousness,
ultra-sleek design that was set out to amaze buying publics with its
performance.
Even if healthy production in the previous generations had proved to be successful; the management of General Motors deemed it necessary to stop production of the line in 1987. Chevrolet El Camino vehicles survived the line with five generations of car-pickup truck evolution. Given the Chevrolet El Camino vehicles impressive performance and striking features, enthusiasts have still been celebrating its contribution to the history of automotive industry with treasures of its mechanical workings as well its performance.
