Chevrolet started independently from General Motors. It was founded by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant in 1911. Since then Chevrolet has been competing in the auto industry with its various kinds of vehicles, including trucks, which it is known for. Chevrolet’s first car was the Classic Six, which was intended to contend with Ford’s Model T. Compared to the Model T, this touring sedan is more advanced in terms of performance and comfort features. Its cab was more spacious and equipped, comfortably accommodating five passengers.

Upon merging with General Motors, Chevrolet became even stronger in sales, especially in the 1950s and 1960s. Along with the GMC division, Chevrolet was intended mostly for the truck user market. One of the Chevrolet’s pride is the Suburban, one of the longest living vehicle in the history of automobiles. What is liked about his Chevrolet auto is its wide and comfortable cab, which accommodates one big family in its three-row seating. This Chevy’s cab is like that of a minivan, along with huge cargo area. A lot of safety and comfortable features can be found inside the driver and passenger cab like dual-level airbags, radio system, memory seats and more.

Another remarkable truck from Chevrolet is the Avalanche. This features a special Convert-a-Cab system, which allows you to maximize cab space by folding the rear seats, taking away the back window and pulling down the midgate. The extended cab adds four more passengers inside the vehicle without the feeling of being crowded.

Other trucks from Chevrolet such as the Chevrolet Colorado and the Silverado are offered in several configurations with different interior layouts. The regular cab accommodates two or three passengers while the extended cab seats five passengers if rear bench is used instead of bucket seats. The Crew cab version offers folding rear bench allowing six passengers to ride the vehicle.
