The Chevrolet Nomad that is internationally flavored and was designed in Great Britain is the work of a global and culturally diverse GM network. Just to produce this eye-catching, contemporary concept vehicle, the team joined with their North American counterparts. The Chevrolet Nomad defies an SUV, sedan or wagon but simultaneously it conveys both presence and practicability. The Nomad team produced a design based on GM's new Kappa architecture that reminds of the spirit of the 1954 Chevy Nomad concept vehicle that are equipped with round headlights which can be found on gently curving fenders, an original Corvette grille, and a forward-sloping B-pillar.

Powered by a turbocharged ECOTEC 2.2 liter four-cylinder engine, Chevrolet Nomad is a rear-wheel drive that features an independent front and rear suspensions, four passenger capability, and a distinctive tailgate that includes a sliding tray, making it easier to load cargo items. Perhaps, some people wonder what really makes the Nomad special. Well, it's the floating roof that looks as if it's almost weightlessly suspended over the glass. Aside from that, the back half of the Chevrolet Nomad's roof slides off for storage in the garage when you want the functionality of a pickup truck. But it doesn't stop there; Nomad carries a woven leather floor that Cox says it's practical because woven leather can stand up to a lot of abuse.

The design director of the GM Advanced Design, Simon Cox says that the Nomad creates an instant attachment with certain personalities and Jose Gonzalez, the lead interior design adds that it is a personal automobile which carries the expressions and emotions of the driver. They also added that the Chevy Nomad's environment has soul, though there are cars that offer more room and facilities, the Nomad is one-of-a-kind, you would surely want to get in and drive.
