General Motors is a tough spot for a variety of cars. They produce and sell a boat load of trucks, vans, minivans, sedans, and sport utility vehicles which the company takes care of under its company umbrella. The stiff competition adamant in the world of the automobile industry will not avoid issues heaped upon the cars under the fleet of General Motors. Troubles such as major quality problems, cheap materials used, weak performance, bad handling, ugly designs are just among the bad publicities thrown upon General Motors’ vehicle lineup.

Cars are cars. And these being made up of parts that when overused or improperly handled will naturally result to failure in terms of performance. However, not all of General Motors’ patrons believe these lies for they have their own accounts which backup the superb craftsmanship there is in the firm’s engineering and designing.

The Malibu is based from an old nameplate just revived by General Motors a few years back. The first generation of the Malibu appeared to be an excellent car on the outside. Its price determined the looks it had on its exterior. However, the inside speaks of its contrast. The almost cheap mechanics therein caused the Malibu’s downfall in sales. The car then became simply a rental car and for those buyers with high standards and tastes for their prospect vehicles, the Malibu did not prove to be the right choice of vehicle for them.

General Motors panicked with the car’s downfall of market sales and knew something ought to be done. The best solution called for redesigning and innovation. The project then started and the Malibu was redesigned. General Motors engineering team moved the Malibu into a larger platform, that is, the Epsilon platform which is also shared by the Saab 93. Likewise, the designers provided the Malibu a sharp and new styling.

Now after the years of struggling success towards restyling the vehicle has paid off. The Malibu mid-sized sedan’s every feature now brims with the California sunshine that oftentimes attract the attention of prospective buyers. The newly designed Malibu project versatility, affordability, and flexibility as to the personal needs of the driver—qualities which are of prime interests to sedan vehicle lovers. With its redefined and redesigned looks, the Malibu stands as the clear representation of Chevy’s first passenger car bearing the company’s newest and latest next generation family look.
