Cargo Liner

SUVs, vans and station wagons—three types of vehicles with different appearances, structures, purposes and capabilities. Yet, with all these differences, you can still find something that is common in all of them. That similarity lies on their cargo carrying capability. All three vehicle types are gifted with a closed cargo area. And however small their cargo areas may be, many still finds them beneficial because of the protection that the cargoes receives.

But while all of the stuff you carry with you while traveling are guaranteed to be well protected inside the cargo area of your van, station wagon, or SUV, that of the cargo area itself is not. Sharp objects that you haul on the cargo area may easily scratch its surface. Then, all those stuff you load on it may carry with them mud, snow, dirt, grime, oil, gas, or worst, battery acid that may damage the carpeting of the cargo area or even the sheet metal floor panel beneath it. All these said, it is therefore important that the cargo area of your vehicle also be protected. And the best product that can offer that protection is the cargo liner.

Cargo liners are waterproof coverings for the cargo area of vans, SUVs and station wagons. These liners may be made from a variety of materials and come in a variety of styles, sizes and colors. Common materials used for the manufacture of cargo liners are rubber, thermopolyolefin, polyethylene, and other rubber-like plastic materials, all of which are preferred because of their toughness and resistance to wear. Most cargo liners also feature a molded-in tread pattern that helps prevent the cargoes from skidding and shifting.

When looking for cargo liners from online auto parts suppliers or from local auto parts sources, it is important that you choose one that is custom molded for your particular vehicle. This way, you can be assured of optimum protection for its cargo area, not to mention the ease of installation these types of cargo liners provide. You may also want to find a cargo liner that matches the color of your vehicle’s interior for a more seamless integration, although liners like these are quite hard to find because most of them come in gray, black and tan.
