One of BMW's significant car models is the BMW 1600. The BMW 1600 made it first public appearance in the year 1964 but sadly had only 4 years of production. Short as it was, the BMW 1600 was remarkably considered to be one of BMWs memorable car. The BMW 1600 made use of the BMW 1800 pistons to enlarge the 1500's engine to 1.6 liters or 1573 cc and deliver a force of 85 horsepower. The BMW 1600 substituted the smaller previous model.

It also had the 1600ti version that features dual carbs and delivers a force of 105 horsepower by the year 1967 and 1968. And lastly, the BMW 1600 had a hatchback 1600 Touring model to be produced in the year 1971 and 1972.
